“The Return of Jezebel James” Canceled

Fox has canceled their freshman comedy The Return of Jezebel James due to poor ratings.  For the time being, the network has slotted repeats of House to fill in for the pulled series.  ‘Jezebel James’ failed to attract an audience from day one, averaging just 3.13M viewers and a 1.1/4 A18-49 rating/share through three aired episodes.

After just two episodes, both lowly rated, Fox has moved the freshmen courthouse drama Canterbury’s Law from Monday night to Friday night, beginning March 28. In the mean time, Fox has scheduled House repeats to replace the vacated 8:00 p.m. Monday night time slot. The show has averaged 6.72 million viewers and a 1.7/5 rating/share among adults 18-49. Fox Picks Up “Back to You” For Full Season, While ABC Orders Six More Scripts of “Samantha Who?”

Fox has given a full season order to their new comedy series Back to You, deciding to stick with the low-rated series with a stronger commitment of 11 episodes, instead of the usual 9 episode “back nine order”. That means the series will have a total of 24 episodes this season.
ABC meanwhile has put in an order for six more scripts of their successful new comedy series Samantha Who?.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Fox is looking to create a spinoff to its third year drama Prison Break.  Tentatively titled Prison Break: Cherry Hill, the show would focus on a new character (Molly) that will be introduced later this season on Prison Break.
